Tlie most parts of Hunan Province experienced a continuous heavy rainfall process from June 22 to July 1，2017. The heavy rain swung back and forth in the Dongting Lake, and river basins of Xiangshui, Zijiang and Lishui. TTie floods from the 3 rivers and around the lake area were close to entering the lake at the same time, which led to a rare large flood in the Dongting Lake in the history. TTie flood peaks into and out from the lake are maximum since 1954.
