There are 4 benchmarks at the Xihe hydrometry station, which are located in the area of alluvium. To set up the benchmarks, it is difficult to consider them to be stable even if the standards for the depth and size of the buried stones specified in the Specifications for the First and Second Order Leveling (GB/T12898-2006) are strictly implemented. This paper took the node method to analyze the stability indexes of the 4 benchmarks to avoid random selection based on the 8 times benchmark height calibration results at the Xihe hydrometry station during 1999-2016. This method can save the measurement time and improve the precision of measurement.
