The International Organization for Standardization （ISO） and World Meteorological Organization （WMO） have published the comprehensivestandards of hydrometry and hydrometric instruments for monitoring the hydrological parameters. In China， the hydrometry and hydrometricinstruments standards are mainly in line with international standards. By comparison， there are some differences in the requirements forhydrometric instruments at home and abroad. Some differences are reasonable and acceptable. However， there are many differences showing thedomestic problems， which should be paid attention， so as for the development of hydrometry.
