In order to grasp the precipitation change rule, utilize and supervise water resources scientifically, the annual and seasonal precipitation trends and mutation in Chaoyang Area were analyzed with the methods of Mann-Kendall test, 5-year moving averages and linear regression on the basis of hydrological data of the Dalinghe River Basin from 1955 to 2014. The results indicate that the annual precipitation shows a decreasing trend in recent 60 years, but the seasonal precipitation shows various trends. The summer precipitation, autumn precipitation and winter precipitation shows decreasing trendbut the spring precipitation shows an increasing trend. The abrupt change in annual precipitation occurred respectively in 1982 and 2007, but there is different abrupt change in seasonal precipitation.
