Based on the strongpoint of WebGIS in the way of geographic pattern browse function,far-ranging accessing scope,favorable expansibility,easy operation and genial interface,an information management of national hydrologic network was constructed to meet the requirements from Bureau of Hydrology,WMR in hydrologic network management. The Go2map-MIP intermediate technology based on MapXtreme was applied to achieve the prototype WebGIS system.The database was designed in a normative way with rich network information contained.And this system provided with special network map operation function,statistical function and data input function on internet,which would improve the network information management.This system can not only provide hydrologic network information for the decision-makers,but also meet the needs from construction of water resources information system in China.
