Environmental water use is important in water resources allocation. In theory and practical computational method, however, there are no systemic achievements from the concerned study on environmental water use so far. This paper takes the Yangtze River Estuary as an example, analyses environmental water use for Yangtze River Estuary based on maintaining water-salt balance and water-sediment balance.
