Random access is one of the important functions to hydrologic database,and due to the indetermina-tion of requirements in random access;there are some difficulties in software development.Using database SQL language as a foundation,simplifying and prompting each step of operations in SQL language application,an applied model of random access for hydrologic database is presented in the paper.
