Abstract:Formulation of an automatic calibration using multiple objectives strategy for the Xinanjiang rainfall-runoff model was outlined.The objectives include,overall water balance,overall shape of the hydrograph,peak flow,and low flow.Automatic calibration methods based on the different composition of the four objectives were studied and compared.It was found that automatic calibration using multiple objectives can consider of different aspects of the hydrograph and have a better goodness -of -fit than the traditional hydrological model calibration using single objective.
