    新中国成立50年来,水文情报预报工作取得了成就,在水情信息采集和传输方面,全国已有水文报汛站8000余处,在25处重点防洪河段和150座大型水库上建立了水文自动测报系统,共计有遥测站近2000个,已有22个省(市,区)和7个流域管理机构的水情部门通过计算机广域网互传水情信息。在水文预报技术方面,开发研制了适合中国特色的许多水文模型。随着计算机的广泛应用,水利信息中心初步建立了水雨情信息服务系统,包

    Abstract:

    This paper describes the main achievements of the hydrological information and forecasting in Chinasince 1949. At present, there are about 8000 hydrometric stations all over the country to collect and transmit hy-drological information. Automatic measurement and transmission systems have been established on 25 importantreaches of flood prevention and 150 large reservoirs. Remote measurement stations amounts to about 2000 . The hy-drological inforznation departments of the 22 provinces and the 7 basin organizations have transmitted hydrologicalinformation each other through computer wide area network. In hydrological forecasting techniques, we developedmany the models with Chinese characteristics. With computer widely used, the Water Resources Information Centerestablished initial information service system of precipitation and water regime, including refetring to hydmlogicalinformation, monitoring real-time nood information, display and retrieval of weather satellite images and precipitationinformation, and hydrological forecasting systems. The paper suggests that in construction of water information pro-jects, radar measurement of precipitation, satellite telemetry and GIS etc. should be used for gaining more hydro-logical and meteorological data. Researching of the drought and semi-drought area hydrological forecasting modelsshould be strengthened to develop the systems fitting the natural characteristics of China.
