With the steady development of the national economy,the big issue confronting us is the question on sustainable development of the water resources,and which sets up many topics and new requirements to hydrological researches.Because of the contradictions between water supply and needs,the water environment's getting worse,the flood and drought disaster,and the hydrological condition's markedly changing subject to human activities and environmental protection,new contents and development are being needed for the hydrological professional works in China.This paper simply introduces the new development of hydrological researches in recent four years in China and has a prospect to the future.
