By using ILWIS, raingauge data will be processed to area rainfall distribution map. Meanwhile, the average area rainfall amount and the cover area of different rainfall density will also be calculated. Comparing the results of calculation in traditional method and GIS method of three examples show that the GIS is satisfied for rainfall analysis.
