There is a difference between evaluation of paleoflood discharge and calculation of observed flood discharge. Based on the propagation theory of random error, the calculation formula for evaluation of random error of paleoflood discharge in general case is given in this paper. And an example to the random error calculation for 2360 aBP paleoflood discharge at Xiaolangdi Project is applied.
