The tasks for study on the factors of sediment-laden flow in the Three Gorges Reservoir arepresented.The world and domestic levels of studying the factors of sediment-laden flow in the reservoir,theadoped way of the research, the content and brief circumstance of the study,the main understanding and conclu-sion from the study and the major achievements in science and technology are all described in this paper.
