Abstract:Taking the remote sensing information as major data,in this paper, a visual interpretationanalysis is made on hydrological underlying surface types in the Daihai Lake Basin,which is taken as an isolitedhydrogeological unit.Based on the similarity principle of hydrology,water resources are calculated with someobserved data after dividing the basin into some calculating units.In the calculation of the surfaee runoff,aninterrelationship is established between the precipitation(p)and the possible maximum loss(E).In thenorthern part of China with P>650mm, the linear relation between p and E is good and the correlationcoefficient is about 0.9.The slopes and intercepts are different for the various regions in the basin .
