The study area is located in a transition zone between arid and humid climate,where the direct cause of leading to drought is the dry climate and shortage of water resources,especially the lack of precipitation.According to the meteorological and hydrological data from 1956 to 2005,this paper analyzed the characteristics of drought change in Tangshan region by using percentage of precipitation anomaly,runoff coefficients and surface humid index.
