According to the expansion water supply project of Tanghe reservoir,this paper analyzed the present water use situation in the Xihe River Basin,and predicted the water demand in the region during the period from 2010 to 2020.The quantity of drawing water from water source expansion of the Tanghe reservoir has been obtained,which will provide a theoritical basis for the water supply expansion project of the Tanghe Reservoir.
