The bed is downcut on the downstream of the Xijiang River year by year, which has increased the forecasting error of the flood forecasting schemes at the Gaoyao Hydrometric Station. By analyzing the concerned conditions,this paper makes a study on how to improve the methods of flood forecasting at Gaoyao Hydrometric Station, and obtains the satisfied results.
