Method of Visualization in Scientifilc Computing(VISC)is a kind of new transfer technolo-gy developed in recent years in field of application of computer,which can transfer unvisual data into vis-ual graph and will result in a close combination of human eyes with brain by means of vision medium to per-form data analysing and processing.This paper introduces the application of VISC to hydrological database.Starting with the designning of the scanning retrieval system,it has soled some key design prob-lems.The cases indicate that the VISC can greatly improve the transparency of a large-scale database and strengthen the user interface as a good method.
